Every week at Sunday Mass we listen to four readings: the first reading (usually from the Old Testament); the psalm; the New Testament (outside of the Gospels) and a Gospel Reading. The Sunday readings have a three-year cycle.
Some readings we link in with easier than others. Some can sound very strange. For someone who is used to reading the scripture or who has studied it at some level, it can be easy to forget that others don’t have that experience. From next week on there will be a “Bible Corner” on the newsletter looking at something from, or in relation to, the Bible to help encourage people to explore it.
