Trocaire boxes for Lent can be found at the back of the two churches in the parish. Envelopes for the Lenten stations can be found in both churches and in the parish office as well.
The Lenten season is a time for us to think about our faith and as it says in the Feast Day section in relation to Ash Wednesday — the remedy for the renewal of our lives is found in prayer, fasting and almsgiving. It is a season for us to look inside ourselves and ask are we focused on the Lord and how can we, with God’s help, improve our relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Often at this time we ‘give up something’ or sometimes ‘take on something new’. Whatever way we approach it, may the Lord bless us in our efforts and be with us and all who are dear to us in this blessed season of renewal and repentance.
