The Children’s Liturgy resumes today, Sunday 1st Sept 2024, at the 10am Mass and will continue each Sunday at 10am after this date. At the start of the Mass the Priest will invite children from senior infants to third class to go to the sacristy with trained volunteers for their own Liturgy of the Word. The Gospel of that Sunday is adapted to the language of children while still maintaining the integrity of the Word. The children are given opportunities to hear and respond to the Word of God in a way which is suited to their age and ability. The children return to the church during the preparation of the gifts to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist with their family. We encourage and welcome all children in this age group, especially those preparing for first Communion and those who made their communion last May to go to the sacristy for these sessions.
