The second of the two talks being given by Fr. Gerard Condon is on this Wednesday, the 26th March in the Parish Pastoral Centre beginning at 8pm. They are reflections on some of the ways, old and new, that we can practice personal prayer and deepen our relationship with God this Lent.
Fr. Condon is the Parish Priest of Killavullen and director of Koinonia, a programme of adult faith development in Cloyne Diocese. He previously served as Spiritual Director at the Irish College in Rome and as a Diocesan Advisor for Religious Education. He contributes to the Messenger of the Sacred Heart and writes movie reviews for the Messenger of St. Anthony.
The word ‘Koinonia’ is the Greek word for ‘fellowship’ and the newsletter with that title that you can find at the back of the church was published by some of the first group that completed the two-year programme. It contains contributions by some of the people who spoke on different topics to the group summarising what they would have shared and gives a good idea of what comes up in the programme.
