“House-keeping”

I, Fr. John, will use this heading to address the ‘bits and pieces’ of parish life as they arise from time to time. This weekend I would like to mention two things; firstly, | want to say that I do not endorse any politician or any political party taking part in the elections that are coming up soon. The van parked outside my home was parked there during the week without my knowledge.

Secondly, I removed all the posters from the notice board and anything that was on the tables at the back of Holy Rosary to make a fresh start. Two things inspired that move by me — the placing of ‘anti-vaccine’ cards at the back of the church and the increase of material being landed on the main table without permission, often clogging up the table in a way that wouldn’t entice you to see what was there and also, at times, pushing ‘conspiracy theories’ and ‘misinformation’.

If anyone wishes to put a notice on the board or the table, please hand it in to the sacristy. Any other material that is left on the table will be sorted and either left where placed, put in the display units or in the Adoration Chapel if appropriate for use there. Anything that is not appropriate will be removed.
