East Cork Camino of Faith, Hope and Friendship 2026

“See I am doing a new thing” (Isaiah 43: 19).

Following the announcement of a new “Parish Pastoral Pathway” for the Diocese of Cloyne by Bishop Crean in April, the Parish Pastoral Councils of Imogeela and Midleton are hosting a 3-Stage Camino of Faith, Hope and Friendship during July, August and September to support the recently proposed partnership between our parishes.

This Camino celebrates the rich faith tradition that exists within our area throughout the centuries to the present day and is placed under the Patronage of “Our Lady of Graces” a title with resonance among the people of East Cork for the past 800 years. All are welcome to participate in this Camino regardless of parish or area of residence.

Each Stage will commence at 7.45am with a short morning prayer and concludes with 10am Mass followed by an opportunity for Rosary, Quiet Prayer and Confession. Participants are welcome to join at any point and participate in all or any aspect of the Camino as they desire. The 3 Stages are as follows: Stage 1: Saturday July 11th – Midleton to Mogeely. Stage 2: Saturday August 8th – Mogeely to Midleton. Stage 3: Saturday September 5th – Castlemartyr to Ballintotis.

Stages 1 & 2 will follow the Midleton-Mogeely Greenway and Stage 3 will follow a safe walking route. Further details of each stage will be provided closer to the dates. Stage 1 commences at 7.45am on Church Lane in Midleton Town Centre on July 11th.
