The Diocese of Cloyne is committed to best practice in Safeguarding children and Vulnerable Persons. This work is overseen by the Diocesan Safeguarding Committee. As part of the three year Safeguarding Plan, a Conference on Safeguarding will take place on Saturday 5th October in Blarney Golf Conference complex. The meeting will be from 1.30 to 5pm (Registration at 1.30pm commencing at 1.45pm) with updates from Safeguarding in the Church. Presentations from TUSLA and the Gardaí will also be given. Parish Safeguarding Representatives, Parish Safeguarding Committees, Clergy, and people working with children and vulnerable persons are invited to attend. If you wish to attend please email safeguardingchildrenoffice@cloynediocese.ie. This conference will also be part of one’s requirement for ongoing training.
