On 21 June 2025, the Religious Order of the Poor Servants of the Mother of God, Carrigtwohill, wish to invite you to join them in giving thanks to God for their ministry to the local people over the past 150 years.
Re-enactment begins at 11.30 a.m. at the Old Station and the rest of the day flows from that time.
Mother Magdalen Taylor, now Venerable, arrived by train with two Sisters, on 21 June 1875. There will be a re-enactment of this event at the Old Station recalling the welcome the Sisters received from the Parish Priest, Fr. R. Seymour, and the people of the Parish. There will be a walk along to the Church where short prayers will be said. Next there will be an extensive and interesting exhibition in Carrigtwohill Community Centre along with tea and cakes. You are allcordially invited to come and enjoy meeting old acquaintances and sharing more stories.
