“Heroes and Heroines of the Bible” – This 8-week bible study program is a “parish-level” program and so is for people of faith at “beginner” or “intermediate” level of biblical knowledge but will be rewarding for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of the bible in a relaxed atmosphere. The course seeks to remove the fear-factor of opening the bible and offers some simple pointers in how to become aware of some of the basic themes that recur throughout the bible, helping us to make reading the bible an enjoyable and enriching experience.
Course Director: Fr Eamon Roche, CC Midleton.
The 8 Heroes/Heroines (and the biblical themes associated with each) are:
– Joseph, Son of Jacob (Forgiveness)
– Moses (Worship and Right-Living)
– Ruth (Redemption)
