A liturgy for children attending 10.00 a.m. Mass on Sundays, commences this Sunday 18th February and continues each Sunday at 10.00 a.m. Mass after this date. At the start of the Mass children from senior infants to second class will be invited by the Priest to go to the sacristy with trained volunteers for their own Liturgy of the Word. Each Sunday, the Gospel is adapted to the language of children while still maintaining the integrity of the Word. The children are given opportunities to hear and respond to the Word of God in a way which is suited to their age and ability. The children return to their families during the preparation of the gifts to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist. We encourage all children in this age group to go to the sacristy for the children’s liturgy.
