Corpus Christi Procession

On Sunday, June 11th, the Feast of Corpus Christi, we had our Eucharistic Procession. Led by Deacon Eddie we sallied forth from the Church yard after 12 noon Mass. We proceeded along St. Mary’s Road, turned and entered the Cemetery, remembering the living and the dead. Finally we entered the Church for Benediction. The First Communion girls strewed petals along the route as always. The Monstrance was carried by the priests, conferring a blessing on the town as they went. A large crowd followed. The Rosary was recited and hymns were sung accompanied by the magnificent Church Organ. The Midleton Brass and Reed Band did us all proud. The houses along the route were beautifully decorated to honour the Lord. Thanks to all who participated in any way.
