Mass will be offered on Thursday 25th February at 10.00a.m. at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary Midleton to remember the volunteers from Midleton who died at the ambush and to remember all those who died during or as a result of the Ambush. Due to Covid19 restrictions the Mass will be available live on Saorview or online only. On Wednesday 24th February the church bell will ring at 4pm to remember those who died as a result of the Ambush. It was rung at the same time 100 years ago to the day. Unfortunately, this year, due to the prevailing restrictions, it will not be possible to have the usual gathering of people at Mass followed by Prayers and Laying of the Wreath at the grave as is customary in Midleton. A wreath will be placed on the grave on behalf of the families and friends of those who died at or as a result of the Clonmult Ambush 1921.
